The large Aunt Kook's Apple Cider jar is my new go-to candle. I think it looks better, smells better, and burns more cleanly than that "other" well-known candle company -- and for about the same price. And it has a double wick, so the candle burns down cleanly with no wax residue on the inside of the jar!It looks great even when not lit, with an elegant glass jar, checkered cloth ribbon, and black metal lid. The scent is fantastic but not overpowering and nauseating like the smell of some other brands. And the price, while not inexpensive, is comparable to what that other big candle brand charges per ounce.I'm on my fifth A Cheerful Giver candle and, contrary to what other reviewers have reported, have never had any issues with soot, unevenly burning wicks, or wicks going out. In fact, these wicks earn my praise for how well they burn down -- they don't curl up, flicker, or produce excess soot like so many others out there, and I find that I don't even need to trim them as they burn away on their own at just the right rate to maintain a constant, even flame.This is a great candle that makes my home smell fantastic -- it's one that I'll keep coming back to!
