About Us
Our Story
Hand-poured candles. Purposeful employment. A family business since 1991.
Built on Faith, Family & Fragrance

A Cheerful Giver began in 1991 as a small family business. When Tony and Susan Gross took ownership, they brought a deep dedication and a simple belief: a great candle should fill your entire room with fragrance, not just the space around it. Over three decades later, that belief hasn't changed. Tony and Susan bring a high level of dedication and product innovation to the company, with the intent to bring innovative products to customers while also creating marketing programs that ensure success at the retail level.
Tony and Susan believe that their strong faith will help guide them in taking this company forward. The vision for A Cheerful Giver is to partner with retailers by assisting with their sales efforts and customizing programs that help them gain success.
Every candle is hand-poured in the USA using premium paraffin wax, delivering the powerful scent throw that has made A Cheerful Giver a favorite in thousands of retail stores across America. But what makes us different isn't just how our candles smell. It's who makes them.

Meet Our Wickers
We're proud to partner with adults with special needs. They're the heart of our operation, placing wicks in every candle we pour. How much they work is entirely up to them. There's no pressure, no quotas—just purposeful employment and the pride that comes with being part of something real.
For over 20 years, our partnership with CODI (Career Opportunity Development, Inc.) has given differently-abled individuals the opportunity to contribute, earn, and belong. When you buy an A Cheerful Giver candle, you're supporting a workplace that values every person who walks through the door.
