If you're like me, you're in the minority of candle buyers that look for spring or summer scents over holiday scents. This candle does not disappoint. This candle smells exactly like petrichor & wet earth, as if your nose was in the grass of the label. Imagine a hot & humid summer day in prairie immediately after rain fall. The scent notes can't really be smelled individually as they all come together to make an extremely authentic wet dirt rain smell in the best way possible. However, to some noses this may come off as a soapy scent, like Irish Spring. BUT, if you want the smell of earthy rain in your house, this is it. I am amazed at how well they captured it, almost 1:1.
Last piece, I give this 4 out of 5 only because the wicks soot so much to the point of making the wax soot colored. I trim my wicks before every burn and make sure to not leave them burning for more than 2-3 hours at a time (or to the point of flickering) and yet I couldn't stop the soot.
